Demand a Cease-Fire in Gaza

Over half the people in Gaza are children. We, the undersigned residents of Brooklyn, demand that you, as a member of Congress, call for an immediate cease-fire and for supplying adequate humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza right now.

In the House, cosponsor H.Res.786. In the Senate, we urge you to introduce a similar bill.

The attack by Hamas on Israeli civilians is morally deplorable, but in no way excuses killing tens of thousands of Palestinians, the majority of whom are women and children. It does not justify the collective punishment of innocent civilians in Gaza by relentlessly bombing homes, schools, hospitals, and mosques, by displacing hundreds of thousands, and by blocking food, medicine, water, and fuel from reaching desperate people.

Eighty percent of Democrats and a majority of Americans support a ceasefire now.

Congress — Listen to Americans who want you to speak out for a ceasefire now!

  • Cosponsor H.Res786 for a cease-fire and humanitarian aid.
  • Vote against $14.3 billion additional U.S. military aid to Israel.
