Join BFP and Move the Money/NYC in the St. Pat’s for All Parade in Queens. We’ll hand out flyers in English and Spanish urging New Yorkers to call Congress to cut the Pentagon budget and restore funding for the things people need, especially here in New York City.
(There will also be a contingent of nyirishr4palestine.)

The parade began more than 25 years ago as a response to the exclusion of Irish LGBTQ communities from the parade along 5^th Avenue in Manhattan, and continues to be a celebration of inclusive and progressive values.  While it is a celebration of Irish culture in the USA, Queens residents from Latin America, the Caribbean, the Middle East, South Asia, East Asia, and even Ireland turn out for the parade and applaud our message. The parade’s motto, “cherishing all the children of the nation equally,” has a particular poignancy this year.

As the UN convenes the Third Meeting of the States Parties to the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW), join us in this family-friendly Rally and March. Featured speakers will include:
- survivors of the atomic bombings of Japan in 1945
- family member of a survivor of a nuclear test in the Pacific
- Indigenous activist from New Mexico (where their lands were contaminated by uranium activities, radioactive waste, and radioactive fallout from the first atomic bomb test)
- activist from Democratic Republic of the Congo (where the two thirds of uranium for the original Manhattan Project were mined at Shinkolobwe Mine)
- youth from Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

9:00 am: March to the U.S. Mission to the UN (First Ave. & 45th Street) to demand that the US eliminate its nuclear arsenal.
